Wedding Intern Opportunity

We have a couple intern positions available this summer for our weddings. This great learning opportunity for the aspiring photographer.

The program consists of some studio work meeting with brides, shooting, portfolio review, photoshop techniques, digital workflow, sales and marketing as well as being a 2nd shooter at one of our weddings.

New Photographer in Training

From time to time, we get requests to have interns come shoot with us to help build their portfolio and gain experience. This last week, we had our youngest applicant at only 2 years old.

Quick Weekend Update

This past weekend we had the joy to be a part of Jason & Tiffani's wedding. Earlier in the week I was a little concerned for the weather as we were to have a cool, rainy, windy day.

Well, it turned out absolutely perfect. 75, sunny, and not much wind.

I'll post our slide show later tonight when i get back to the studio.

Tell us Your Story

Brite Idea Photography wants to capture the love, and wants to find the most deserving couple possible. We want to hear your story! The reason why your special person makes you want to get out of bed in the morning, the reason they can always bring a smile to your face, the reason why your love brings you together.

The Rules

(1)Your wedding date must be in 2008 and have a set date and location.
(2)You must send your story of love, and convince us why you and your significant other are most deserving of this prize. You

must also send a recent photo of you and your fiance with your story.
(3)Three finalists will be selected and the people will get to vote on the winner.
(4)Entries will be taken until Oct 31st, 2007
(5)The stories of the three finalists will be posted on or about Nov 1st, and voting will remain open until November 30th,

2007
(6)Winner will be on or about announced December 15th, 2007
(7) In the event of a tie vote, Douglas Boyce, owner of Brite Idea Photography, will make the final decision.

The Prizes

Grand Prize**
The winner will receive photography our Intimate Memories Wedding Package. The package includes 1 of our great photographers

for up to 6 hours of exclusive coverage and a $1250 credit towards a custom designed album. (Total Value : $2000)

First Place**
Second place receives free invitation/thank you card design by Brite Idea Photography and a 1 hour portrait session with you

and your fiance.

Second Place**
Free 1 hour portrait session with you and your fiance.

Your Permission

By entering your story you give permission to Brite Idea Photography to use your story and image. Contest is only open to

residents within the United Stated (AK and HI ARE included). However, if the winner is outside our general coverage area,

travel expenses will still the responsibility of the winning couple as it is for all of our destination weddings.

How To Enter

To enter please send your story, and picture to WeddingContest@BriteIdeaPhotography.com and don’t forget to pass this on to

your friends! Also you can enter on the behalf of someone else, for example a friend entering for a friend, or a parent

entering a child. We really want the great stories that are out there!

5 Destination Wedding Slots open

Are you a bride thinking of a destination wedding in beautiful local? Maybe Italy, France, southern Spain, Mexico, or somewhere else outside of the US.

Give us a call soon! We are only going to be allowing up to 5 Destination Wedding Shoots for 2007.

We have allowed 1 per month in May - September. Once that month is closed, we will not be booking anything outside of the US for that month. (we'll still book for US weddings though) We feel we need to limit this so we are not away from home too much.

Our new Flush Mount Album Sample is IN !!!

WOW !!!!!

We ordered our first flush mount album and it is freakin' cool. As you have seen, for 2007, we had LOWERED our rates to shoot a wedding, but also increase our packages to allow an album credit. This album has THICK pages and is over 1" thick.

I wish I had one of these from our wedding! Unfortunately, our wedding photographer never offered us anything other than 4x6 proofs and an option to order some 8x10. He did a good, traditional style, shoot of our wedding, but that was it.

That very reason of not even being offered an album is why in 2007 we are shifting our focus to custom album design for each of our wedding couples. In fact, we are going to be doing engagement albums as well.

An engagement album, why you ask? What would be cooler than pictures of the bride and groom at the wedding from their engagement shoot and to use it as a guest book. We are working on designing our first one of those as well and I'll post pictures once that comes in .

Until then, this is an example of the new albums.



See, that sooooooo much better than a box of 200 proofs that you'll never look at or a DVD that after you watch it once, goes back on the shelf. These are meant laid out and looked at over and over and over again.
