Date change in 2007

On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.

The MOST Inpirational Movie I've ever seen.

Over the years, I've seen a number of inspiring events and films that have changed my outlook and affected who I am today. There was ride of Greg LeMond in 1989 to comeback to win the Tour De France. There was the 1980 hockey team that helped to reminded us, "Do you believe in Miracles?" And I'll never forget the ride of the Galibier in 1998 by Marco Pantani.

But movies are harder to inspire me since I can usually guess what's going to happen. However, last night we were at our church and they played "Facing the Giants".

YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS FILM!!

"This inspirational drama from award-winning producers Alex and Stephen Kendrick combines faith and football in the tale of high school coach Grant Taylor (Alex Kendrick), who rises above failure to create a winning spirit on the field. Taylor faces a losing team, a failing marriage and the possibility of being fired. At the end of his rope, he puts his life in God's hands and, in doing so, finds a stronger purpose and, ultimately, salvation."

A Powerful Song

Enjoy.

My Savior My God Aaron Shust lyrics

Artist: Aaron Shust
Album: Anything Worth Saying
Year: 2005
Title: My Savior My God

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at his right hand
Stands one who is my savior

I take him at his word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find a need
For him to be my savior

That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my savior

My savior loves, my savior lives
My savior's always there for me
My God he was, my God he is
My God he's always gonna be

Yes, living, dying; let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That he who lives to be my king
Once died to be my savior

That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my savior

My savior loves, my savior lives
My savior's always there for me
My God he was, My God he is
My God he's always gonna be

A Tribute to a Fallen Hero

This week marked the third anniversary of fallen hero, Marco Pantani. As many of you know, I use to race nationally and always dreamed of one day of racing in the Tour De France.

As with any sport, we all have our favorites and I've always gone for the Italians. I loved Claudio Chiappucci, Marco Pantini (Il Pirat, and Mario Chippolini (The Lion King).

Here is a tribute to a hero of mine, Marco Pantani.

Thank You Manca for putting this tribute together and sharing it with us.

On the other side of the dial

For the first time in about 2 weeks, I awoke to ABOVE zero temperatures.

Rated as the 'BEST PATIENT OF ALL TIME'

Children's Hospital's nurses all agreed Jayden was the easiest baby they have EVER had. (I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Dad brought the nurses cake on Friday as a 'Thank You')

He was great and handled everything very good.

Jayden comes home !

Happy Birthday Josiah from Uncle Dave

Uncle Dave couldn't be here for the big event this week and so he came over last night to surprise him.

I'm ready to go home now Dad.

We are waiting to hear back from the Doctors today to see if we get to go home.

Minneapolis Skyline

Here are some nice shots of the Minneapolis skyline. The black line in the middle of the image are the blinds in the window. The blinds are BETWEEN the panes of glass and so I had to shoot between them.

"Little Dude" felling better

Jayden is felling better but still needs a few tests and will spend at least 1 more day at Children's

"Little Dude" finally sleeping good.

Update on "Little Dude"

As many of you are aware, our family has been in a whirlwind this week with Jayden's health. On Monday night, we took him to the ER for some breathing problems. We were told it was just a cold and nothing to worry about.

Well, Wed. night, his breathing had gotten worse and looked really bad and took him to the ER. Now he was diagnosed with Croup and needed to be transported to Children's (at 2 AM !)

Yesterday he was finally able to eat again and starting to take fluids
